We want to keep you informed about the Starwood Solar I project. Starwood will provide regular updates on this website, and plans to distribute periodic newsletters to area residents and other interested parties regarding public participation opportunities. Public Open House Held in July 2009
About 80 people attended a public open house on July 30, 2009 to learn more about the Starwood Solar I project and speak to project team members. Representatives of Starwood Energy and URS were present to discuss the project description, environmental studies, and the status of permitting efforts.

Other Comment Opportunities
As part of the state Certificate of Environmental Compatibility permitting process, the Arizona Power Plant and Transmission Line Siting Committee will hold public hearings on the project. These hearings will be announced in a project newsletter, on the website, and in local media. The public will have the opportunity to provide formal comments at these hearings.
